Creamy grape salad with nuts

Creamy grape salad with nuts

Creamy grape salad with nuts is a classic dish that can be found on the festive table, and as an everyday treat. Simple in composition and preparation, the salad is light and refreshing and has a very appetizing taste. This dish is a combination of creamy cream dressing and grape berries, the taste of which is piquantly emphasized by toasted nuts. The dish can be served as a salad with a relatively neutral taste, or as a dessert.

The only difference between these two options is the presence or absence of sugar in the composition. In the relatively “unsweetened” version of the dish, a pleasant sweet and sour contrast of flavors is achieved due to the natural sweetness of the grapes and a slight sourness in the dressing of sour cream and cream cheese. Sometimes, if the grapes are very sweet, lemon juice is added to the dressing to further enhance the contrast of flavors.

Instruction. Creamy grape salad with nuts.

Cooking time 35 minutes

In the dessert version of the salad, vanilla and sugar can be added to the base dressing, which turns it into a real vanilla cream.

Wash, dry the grapes and separate the berries. In a separate container, combine the cream cheese and sour cream. Add vanilla and sugar to taste. If the grapes used are very sweet in themselves, you can not add sugar. Mix everything well until the sugar dissolves.

Fry the nuts in a dry pan for 4-5 minutes, until the flavor appears. And then lightly chop with a knife. Add the prepared cream dressing and about 2/3 of the nuts to the grapes.

Use the remaining nuts to decorate the dish. Carefully mix everything and place the salad in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to cool.

To serve, transfer the mixture to a salad bowl or serving molds. Sprinkle with the remaining nuts, garnish with grapes and mint leaves. Cream salad of grapes with nuts is ready. Bon Appetit!
