Nutritionists also note the benefits of chestnut, since it contains an order of magnitude less fat than almonds or walnuts, and hazelnuts. These fruits found their application in cooking not a single century ago.
Chestnuts are delicious only hot, only from a roasting pan or frying pan. With a spoon, carefully remove the warm flesh from the cracked skin and prepare it in one of the dozens of ways.
Ingredients: Chestnut pie with honey and saffron.
For the chestnut mixture:
Chestnuts 17.64oz
Honey 7.05oz
Vanilla 1 teaspoon
Turmeric 1/4 teaspoon
Saffron 1/2 teaspoon
Butter 3.53oz
Juice of one lemon
Zest one orange
For the test:
Flour 17.64oz
Baking powder for the dough 1 teaspoon
Sugar 2 tablespoons
Salt 1/2 teaspoon
Corn flour 7.05oz
Cinnamon to taste
Vegetable oil 1/2 cup
Water 1 cup
Marjoram 1 sprig
Soy sour cream 1 cup
Juice of one orange
Mint for decoration
Instruction:
To make it easier to peel the chestnuts from the shell, pour them with boiling water for 10-15 minutes. Cut them and fry them in butter, add lemon juice, vanilla, turmeric, saffron, a little water, and honey. To give the chestnut an interesting taste (because in itself it is bland), rub the orange zest into this mixture. We leave the orange itself – we will need it in the dough.
In a bowl with flour, add baking powder, salt, water, and soy sour cream. Knead the soft dough, pour in the orange juice, and add marjoram and cinnamon to taste. Mix the dough with the chestnut mixture and start baking. In a greased rectangular shape with vegetable oil, spread the dough evenly. Bake in the oven for 35-40 minutes at a temperature of 356F.
When serving, you can decorate with mint and powdered sugar. Bon Appetit!
