Fry the poblano peppers on the grill or in the oven until slightly burnt. Transfer to a bowl and cover with cling film. Leave on for 15 minutes, then peel off the skin and seeds. Cut into thin strips.

Reheat the grill. Prepare the steak. Brush the steak with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Place on the grill and fry for 3-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare (or as you like).

Preparing the sauce: heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat in a frying pan on the stove. Add the finely chopped onion and thinly sliced garlic.
